Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The subject of semantics is the systematic study of the literal meaning of linguistic expressions like morphemes, words, phrases, sentences or even texts. The pupose of the course is to developt the semantic competence of the learners. Semantic competence does not concern what expressions happen to be about, but how they happen to be about them.
