Purpose and Content

The aim of the course 1. understand the purposes and procedures of teacher evaluation 2. be able to discuss uses of language tests for different purposes and contexts. 3. develop basic competence in writing classroom tests and evaluating published tests;
Course Content Measurement tools used in education and their features; tools based on traditional approaches: Written exams, short-answer exams, true-false tests, multiple-choice tests, paired tests, oral exams; tools for getting to know the student in multiple ways: Observation, interview, performance evaluation, student product file, research papers, research projects, peer assessment, self-assessment, attitude scales; Points to be considered in the evaluation of student success; assessment and grading of learning outcomes.
