Founded in 1995 by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın—who believes that the greatest asset of a nation is its educated people—together with a group consisting mostly of academics and business professionals, the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) was established to serve the country through education and culture.
AKEV aims to raise young people in Türkiye as responsible, continuously developing, productive, creative, and constructive individuals who serve as exemplary, highly qualified members of society in the production and service sectors both nationally and globally.
The Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation, which upholds the principle of elevating the people of our country—especially the younger generation—above international standards and ensuring their development in every field, provides educational scholarships each year to many successful students with limited financial means, as well as to earthquake survivors, through its collaborations with private and public educational institutions across all regions of Türkiye.
Through its work aligned with its mission, AKEV has made a strong, creative, constructive, and harmonious contribution to education. To find solutions to Türkiye’s educational challenges in the 21st century and to support the development of the educational system by showcasing its modern, technological, and innovative approach across all platforms, AKEV contributed to Turkish Higher Education by incorporating Anadolu BİL Vocational School—founded in 2003—into Istanbul Aydın University, established in 2007.
AKEV also undertakes the mission of serving as a bridge—particularly between our country and the European Union, as well as on an international scale—by cultivating individuals who are socially and scientifically equipped in the fields of education, science, technology, and culture, in line with the evolving needs of our nation and humanity. Supporting the development of qualified individuals within society, AKEV continues to realize its projects with its investigative and enterprising members who conduct scientific and technological research.
