Purpose and Content

The aim of the course An introduction to the basic concepts in linguistic analysis-The nature ,structure and use of language, to introduce concepts such as phonology,phonetics,morphology, and syntax.
Course Content The definition of language, properties of language, comparing human language and animal communication, ways of creating/forming new words, phonemes and place and manner of articulating the English sounds (vowels and consonants), morphemes and types of morphemes, phrases
