Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course; is to learn physiological mechanisms of pain, acute and chronic pain, the effect of acute and chronic pain in different diseases, pain assessment methods, the basic information about the approaches used in pain management.
Course Content This course covers the following topics: 'Physiological mechanisms of pain', 'Types and characteristics of pain', 'Pain receptors and pain routes', 'Pain assessment methods', 'Musculoskeletal pains and treatment approaches', 'Methods used to manage pain', 'The role of exercise in pain management'.
