Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course; is to provide understanding of the basic concepts of clinical neurology and neurosurgery, diagnostic methods and emergence mechanisms of diseases.
Course Content The course covers the following topics: 'Adult and pediatric clinical neurological examination', 'Common diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system', 'Mental and motor retardation in children', 'Motor control', 'Muscle tone', 'Reflexes', 'Coma', 'Sensory system' 'Neuroanatomy of pain', 'Aging and dementia', 'İntracranial tumors-aneurysms-bleeding', 'Spinal cord pathology' and 'Formation of disc herniation and examination of symptoms resulting from disc herniation'.

5Motor control, muscle tone, reflexes, coma.

10Aneurysms and hemorrhages.
11Spinal cord pathology.
12The formation and symptoms of disc herniation.
13Current strategies for surgery of disk herniation.
