Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course; is to provide general information about basic concepts in radiology, radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging in basic subjects, extremities, spine and thoracic radiology.
Course Content This course covers the following topics: 'Basic imaging methods for physiotherapists', 'The basic principles of radiology', 'Normal and pathological radiological imagination of skeleton', 'chest radiography', 'Radiological findings in inflammatory conditions of the soft tissue', 'Radiological appearance in the scoliosis', 'The evaluation of the angles of scoliosis'.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Physics related basis of radiologic methods.
2Radiological anatomy: limbs, pelvis.
3Radiological anatomy: the spine, thorax.
4Radiological pathology: fractures, subluxation, dislocation, neoplasia, atrophy, sclerosis, infection, implants, peripheral nerve lesions.
5Specific lung pathology and radiology cases.
6Regional pathology and evaluation: the cervical and lumbar regions.
7Regional pathology and evaluation: the pelvis and hip.
8Regional pathology and evaluation: knee, ankle, foot.
9Midterm
10Regional pathology and evaluation: shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand.
11Different pathologies and evaluate: bone, cartilage.
12Different pathologies and assessment: nerves, muscles.
13Different pathologies and assessment: tendons, ligaments.
14General repetition and preparation for the final exam.
