Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course; is to teach the thermal principles of electrotherapy, the examination of tissue responses to electrotherapy modalities widely used in physiotherapy, and the mechanisms of action and application methods of high-frequency currents.
Course Content This course covers the following topics: 'Derivation of high frequency current', 'Thermal principles of electrotherapy', 'Shortwave diathermy', 'Microwave diathermy', 'Ultrasound', 'Transkutaneal electrical nerve stimulation', 'Biofeedback', 'Magnetotherapy', 'High-voltage stimulation', 'Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT)'.
