Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To gain the necessary knowledge and skills about drama, the definition of drama in education, its goals, characteristics, its contributions to the development of the child, the historical process of drama, the planning, implementation and evaluation of the drama program in education; To gain the ability to use the necessary techniques, application planning and evaluation related to drama in education.
Course Content	Definitions of drama in education, differences between drama and theater, content and introduction studies. , definition and content of creative drama, drama-play and educational drama, planning of creative drama in education. Historical development of drama practices with children, historical development of drama in Turkey and in the world. Application stages of drama in education (Creative drama), structuring of drama. Classification of drama (creative drama) in education according to age groups and application areas, components of drama. Qualifications of drama teacher in education, problems that the teacher may encounter, drama as a teaching-learning method. The possibilities of using drama in education in the child development section, the effect of drama in education on the developmental areas of the child (social-emotional, self-care, psychomotor, language, cognitive). Techniques used in drama. Example applications planning, implementation and evaluation

The aim of the course

Learning Outcomes

To choose and use efficiently contemporary techniques and means as well as information technologies required for the applications related to the field of study
To have the capability to design, plan and realize the projects by using the vocational settings and tools in the related field of study

To determine appropriate assessment approach(s) for child and family, as a requirement of professional responsibilities in the field of child development.

To determine the risky group for developmentally and to consultation them to the appropriate units.
To provide to raise awareness of community in related field.
To develeop strategies related to prevent child abuse and violence against to child.
