Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To gain knowledge about the relationship between creativity and intelligence, deleopmental stages of creativity, aesthetic perception, graphical activities and drawing, characteristics of childrens pictures, and planning art activities
Course Content Basic concepts about art and creativity. Importance of creative thinking. Theoretical approaches. Relationship between creativity and intelligence. Development of creativity. Social, emotional and cultural factors that affect the development of creativity. Characteristics of creative children. The role of education in developing creativity. Development of aesthetic perception. Development of graphical activities. Development of picture drawing. Characteristics of children's pictures. Parental and teacher approaches in art activities. Assesment of children's pictures. Types of materials and surfaces used in preschool art activities. Goals of preschool art activities. Planning, applying and assessing preschool art activities. Planning preschool art activities. Usage of museums as educational environments
