Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of the course is to introduce the different family structures to the students, to understand the problems that may arise in family child relations and to understand the effect on the child's development and to understand the principles of child-centered parent education studies
Course Content In this course to the students of the child development department; • The role of the family in the development and education of the child • Turkish family structure and qualities (definition of family, function of family, family types according to their structural characteristics) • The goals of family education • Effective forms of communication (Interfaith communication, parent-child communication) • The place of family relations in the child's psychological development (inter-sibling relationships, family and children scattered, mother or father dying child, illness-hospital and child) • Children and their parents at risk • The role of the father in the child's education and development • Familial factors influencing the child's socialization (parental attitudes and the effect on children, the influence of the place of the child on the children - order of the family, number of children, gender of the child) • Adult inclination and characteristics (Adult development characteristics and psychology, principles of adult education, differences between children and adults in terms of education) • Family education methods • Participation in the pre-school education of the family and business alliances • Organizations supporting families and non-governmental organizations • Parental guidance services (Parental guidance, parental educational activities, family support) • Parent-related studies in our country and in the world, related associations and organizations, family-oriented health and social security services)
