Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to teach teacher candidates the importance of science and nature and enviroment education, to provide the information about the basic concepts of science and nature , to introduce science education methods, to create concept maps, to introduce out door education resources, and to provide deep understanding about education for sustainable development.
Course Content What?s science, how children learn science, scientific process skills, early childhood science programs and science teaching methods, science center, science materials, the role of teachers, families and society in early childhood science education, assessment in science education, planning and applying science activities and discussion in classroom, nature education, science activites in nature, education sor sustainable development and field activities.
