Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To gain awareness of determining the functional, technical, mechanical, physical and formal properties that the material should have according to the place of use in the building, and of selecting and using building materials with tolerances appropriate to these properties.
Course Content Building materials will be introduced within the scope of the architecture-building material relationship, material-related concepts, regulations and standards will be evaluated, their properties according to material types and their behavior against different effects will be explained, and materials that can be used in different applications will be compared.
