Purpose and Content

The aim of the course MMT402 Graduation Project is considered as the final stage of undergraduate education and training in the student's initiation into the architecture profession. The Graduation Project is regarded as a self-assessment tool for the Department of Architecture to achieve its strategic goals in architectural education. It requires the student to develop and present an architectural project based on the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their architectural education and training, through an individual approach. The student demonstrates their competency by completing this architectural project.
Course Content In the Graduation Project, the expectation is to address the theoretical, technological, and urban-environmental problems of architecture together and develop original solution proposals. This includes preparing and evaluating analyses of the site based on land use, transportation relationships, ecosystem, natural boundaries, and scenic points. It also involves establishing the relationship between the given program elements and the site, ensuring spatial composition, expressing the project according to the principles of project development and project life cycle management, and generating solutions related to the structure and building envelope.
