Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this project is to develop the architectural design ability acquired until now through more comprehensive structural analysis and synthesis, and to express the importance of aesthetics and structure in design through practice. It is aimed to increase the ability to integrate functional-spatial-structural concepts in the context of an urban problem, in an existing texture, in existing gaps or in places deemed appropriate to be evacuated.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, it is aimed for students to gain the ability to collect, combine, evaluate and develop the necessary information regarding the determined design topics, to think in three dimensions, to reach conclusions by using architectural expression techniques (two-three-dimensional drawings, hand sketches, models) and by fulfilling the necessary obligations. In this process, it is aimed to develop solution proposals for a more comprehensive problem, within the scope of form-function relations, and to gain different technical information (materials, construction, building systems) compared to previous projects.
