Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to develop the candidate teachers in character and value education, and to provide them with the necessary equipment to effectively acquire national and universal values to the students.
Course Content The course content consists of this topics; character, personality / personality, value, virtue, morality, temperament, temperament and so on. concepts.; character development and education; family, environment and school in character development and education; definition and classification of values; character and value education approaches, sources of values, character and value education approaches and applications, differentiation and coexistence culture between character and value education; character and value education in terms of educational philosophy and objectives; teaching methods and techniques in character / value education; the crisis of values and education in modern and multicultural societies; value education in the process of human-cultural development; Turkey examples about the value of education and cultural history education, practice and research values education in Turkey; Teacher as a role model in character and value education.
