Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Science and profession of social work in the historical process in the world and in Turkey the development of democracy, human rights and social justice concepts in terms of social service needs for evaluating social work theory and application of knowledge, values??, skills, problem solving processes, interaction, worker, client, environment, intervention processes, information gathering, problem identification, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of learning and in terms of basic social services is expected to be placed in an analytical perspective
Course Content The definition of of social work, basic concepts and facts. Social Work philosophy, values, ethics, processes and approaches. The development of professional social work in Turkey and in the World throughout the history: application fields and functional characteristics of professional social work, roles, functions and occupational identity of Social Worker.
