Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This primarily aims to acquire the sociological imagination skills. In line with this objectice, it aims to improve analytical skills that social work student come across in everyday and professional life, as well as critical skills to question the society in rapidly changing and global context.
Course Content C.W Mill's concept of "sociological imagination" enables us to relate the everyday and professional lives we live in that are embedded in social structures and processes to economy, culture, politics and history. Therefore, sociology is a multifaceted discipline that allows us to question and give meaniing to the intricate social facts and problems that we take for granted.
