Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to analyze and describe all perspectives based on theoretical and conceptual foundations regarding advertising design. By making use of visitors, culture, instrumentalism, visual rhetoric and usage, advertisement usability can be ensured and the use of tools can be observed. Furthermore, it is aimed that students can analyze the advertisement text by making use of fields such as visual culture, semiotics, visual rhetoric and aesthetics and benefit from this information in the design process.
Course Content In the content of the course, students acquire information about the effects of socio-cultural phenomena on design, target audience analysis, and theoretical approaches to visual communication design in the advertising design process. They also gain the ability to read and critically analyze existing advertising texts.
