Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to provide the students with the infrastructure to transfer information and ideas through projects by using visual communication, symbols, images and typography.
Course Content	To contribute to project production by using signs, graphic designs, typography and numerous different visual examples.

Learning Outcomes

Knows the theoretical knowledge, principles and concepts of visual communication design.
Describes the computer programs used for design with their features.
Understands the aesthetic rules of design.
Refers to New Media technologies.
Has the ability to identify, interpret and solve complex design problems of cultures and nations.
Knows the complex designs of cultures and nations scientifically, socially, economically, legally and politically.
Define national and international ethical rules, legislation and quality standards in the field of visual communication design.
Distinguish the features of works designed in the field of visual communication.
Analyzes methods and techniques related to the field of Visual Communication Design.
Examines and conveys the main lines of a visual communication design process.
Applies the tools and techniques required for visual communication design in the New Media environment.
Applies scientific research and development studies for visual communication design applications.
Uses the computer programs required by the field.
Analyzes, compares and applies multi-dimensional design with individual and collective studies in line with the determined needs.
Creates creative and powerful designs individually and / or in groups.
Synthesizes research and development projects with a critical approach in order to find solutions to problems in the field of visual communication design from various perspectives.

1	Discussion of the transformation of Proverb and Idiom subjects into design and the expression of the subject of colors
2	1. Project, Classwork / choosing the Proverb and Idiom to be designed by each student and explaining the typography topic.

4	Expression of Typography and Modern Art Movements
5	Dynamic diagonals and expression of the Bauhaus School subject
6	2. Project Designing a poster on 'Bauhaus Design School' by using 'Dynamic Diagrams'
7	Midterm Exam and Delivery of 2nd Project
8	Investigating and criticizing old designs, design rules
9	3. Project, class work / reorganization of old designs, considering the design rules

11	Researching world museums and identifying and showing poster applications
12	4. Project / Sharing opinions about the graphic design elements
