Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This course aims to introduce basic components of linguistics, make students familiar with concepts such as pragmatics, discourse analysis, semantics, regional and social variation, and language and culture. The objective of this course unit is to study the sub-fields of linguistics and enlighten the students about some interdisciplinary studies of linguistics and literature.
Course Content The course covers topics such as syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and other subcategories of linguistics. The students will develop an understanding of the relationship between language and literature. In addition, we focus on written language and language history.
