Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to enable students to develop knowledge and skills that may be preferred for master's programs by enabling them to carry out a research project with planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting stages.
Course Content	Students write a graduation project that includes the analysis, interpretation and evaluation of findings within the framework of the research topic they developed as a group.

Learning Outcomes

Acquire historical, theoretical and practical knowledge on English language and literature, supplemented by course books, materials and other sources that contain current information in the field.
Gain an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of authors, movements and texts from different periods of literary history.
Have theoretical and practical knowledge on the systematical structure, functioning and evolution of the language.
Explain different structures and discourse functions of the selected works from English literature.
Acquire general knowledge on American culture, literature and history and define key terms and concepts.
Acquire knowledge of another European language and Discuss the intellectual, cultural and historical contexts in which literature is written and read.
Critically interpret English and American literary, cultural and social life.
Critically analyze literary texts produced in the Renaissance and other historical periods. Make an indepth analysis of mythology, Classic, and Neo-Classic art insights.
Reflect on ethical, psyhological, and philosophical and issues in literary, cultural and historical texts.
Apply literary, critical, historical, linguistic and approaches to textual analysis
Apply guided research skills including the ability to gather, sift, organize and present information and material.
Use logical thought, critical reasoning, and rhetorical skills to effectively construct arguments.
Gain skills to understand and interpret a system, process, equipment or product and to solve relevant issues applying contemporary methods.
Conduct independent studies that require proficiency in the emergence of English Literature.
Solve complex problems faced within field applications.
Update knowledge and skills acquired in Language and Literature.
Develop awareness for lifelong learning, accessing information and following developments in science and technology.
Acquire satisfactory knowledge on teaching of a second language.
Evaluate knowledge and skills acquired and direct the learning.
