Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to provide social services students with an understanding of social incidents as a concept of gender as well as to learn the effective approaches to the understanding and prevention of women's discrimination.
Course Content	The concept of gender, gender according to approaches, feminism, gender roles of working women and mothers

Learning Outcomes

Having basic and current theoretical and practical knowledge
Evaluating the acquired knowledge in social work with a critical view, and has competency in analyzing and synthesizing.
Linking the knowledge of social sciences such as psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology and law to social problems and concerns, comprehends basic concepts and methods of each and has competency in applying this knowledge in social work fields
Internalizing life-long learning strategy. Renews knowledge and experience by being open to development, and enriches this knowledge through sharing it with others
Coming the idea of rights based perspective to practice in protection, health, security and rehabilitation of different groups in society
