Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to reach the right information, collect the data with scientific validity and analyze it with appropriate statistical methods, and interpret and report the results correctly.
Course Content	Confidence limits, chi-square analysis, regression-correlation analysis and advanced SPSS applications in scientific research.

Learning Outcomes

To have current theoretical and applied knowledge for all application areas of audiology.
To be able to carry out hearing and balance screening programs.
Knowing human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, embryology, genetics, histology, microbiology, radiology, otological and neurological diseases, interpreting audioovestibular test results with up-to-date evidence-based information, reporting, directing for therapeutic purposes, rehabilitation planning, implementation, follow-up, change and terminate when necessary being
Gaining the ability to perform diagnostic tests in the field of audiology.
To be able to interpret the data about Clinical/ Vestibular/ Industrial / Rehabilitative Audiology to define problems, to develop contemporary solutions.
Gaining the skills of sound physics and psychoacoustic concepts, indication of hearing aid / implant, selection, adaptation and performing applications during surgery and ear otoscopy and ear canal plug cleaning
To learn the professional legislation of audiology.
To work in cooperation with other professional groups.
Designing audiology profession services in an accurate manner for the purpose and result, identifying, defining, collecting, interpreting, preparing reports, archiving, generating contemporary solutions to problems.
On the basis of lifelong learning philosophy, gaining the ability to constantly renew oneself by following the developments in science.
Gaining the ability to make career planning and human resources applications before graduation.
To gain the awareness of being a member of professional associations, to be able to organize projects to raise awareness that are integrated with the society and the sector.
To be able to inform the relevant institutions about subjects related to their profession.
Contributing to social responsibility projects to increase the awareness of the society on hearing and balance disorders.
Gaining the ability to use communication technologies, media and social media for a purpose.
Acquiring a foreign language to follow the basic and professional developments.
To act in accordance with social, scientific and cultural values in the stages of applying, interpreting and announcing the results of ethical values and competencies specific to the field.

4	Ground measurements (Arithmetic mean, mode, median; calculation of ground measurements from frequency table
5	Distribution measures (change width, variance, standard deviation, standard error, coefficient of variation)
6	Discrete probability distributions (Binomial and poisson distribution and probability estimation)
7	Continuous probability distributions (Probability estimation with normal distribution)
8	Hypothesis testing of an average and confidence limits (Z distribution)

10	Examination Evaluation, Hypothesis testing of an average and confidence limits (T distribution)
