Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of the course is to be help the students for understanding the evolution and changes in the living things. To teach them being sensitive about environment and provide information about how to protect it to improve the problem solving skills and to get students aware of environmental issues.
Course Content Basic ecological concepts; ecosystems, food chain, food web, biological relationships in ecesystems; energy flow, material cycle, basic ecological problems of human (population growth; ecologicel effect; erosion; loss of forests; urban environment; behavioral pollution; environmental pollution; marshs and waste water); environment protection in the world and Turkey.

4Symbiosis, continuity of life, soil biomes
5Givng the basic functions of living and non living elements composing the ecosystems
6Terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems
7Ecological impact, erosion, forest destruction
8National and international environment policies
9Revision and Midterm exam
10Control policies of environmental pollution
11Environmental pollution in Turkey and in the world ( water pollution, drought and global warming)
12Environmental pollution in Turkey and in the world (soil pollution, erosion, air pollution)
13Environmental pollution in the world and Turkey (waste, radioactive pollution, electromagnetic pollution)
14Environmental pollution in the world and Turkey ( noise pollution, bio-diversity and destruction, population growth and unplanned urbanization)
