AFAM Coordinator Serhat Yılmaz and Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Emre Ulupınar from our university attended the meeting in which the capacities of the universities located in Istanbul province in the province of Istanbul in Yeşilköy Civil Defense Branch Office campus were evaluated on February 7, 2019 in the organization of the Istanbul Governorship Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate.

Participants representing universities at the meeting gave information about the current capacities of their institutions and the problems they face. In the meeting, it was also evaluated what kind of joint projects the Istanbul Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate could implement.

After the meeting, a technical trip was organized to the newly opened training complex of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency. The shaking tables in the complex, simulation applications, application areas for search and rescue activities, facilities prepared for dogs involved in search and rescue with dogs were introduced during the tour organized for the participants of the meeting.
