Under the coordination of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Internal Affairs, Disaster Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), a Workshop on Individuals with Special Needs was held in cooperation with Eskişehir Technical University and Anadolu University. The workshop was held on 12 – 13 February 2019 in Eskişehir. Serhat Yılmaz, Coordinator of Istanbul Aydın University Disaster Training Application and Research Center, also took part in the scientific committee. In the workshop, it was aimed to create a roadmap in the field of disasters and disability.

In line with this purpose, the workshop, which is open to the participation of everyone working in this field in the public, private sector, universities and non-governmental organizations, aims to reduce the negative effects of disasters on individuals with special needs and to work on this issue in a multi-disciplinary (social - economic - legal - psychological - technical) – etc.) were examined.
