​"Basic Disaster Training in Kindergartens" was given to trainers who came to visit our Center from Izmir AFAD on January 21, 2013, with the collaboration of Istanbul Aydın University Disaster Education Application and Research Center (AFAM) Izmir Governorship Disaster and Emergency Directorate. The training was held at IAU Florya Campus. In the training, disasters, especially earthquakes, were explained interactively with models, and the precautions to be taken against disasters were shown in practice. Science and Art in Education Coloring book "Underwater Adventures" was presented to the students. The training ended with a small exercise. This training session, which is the preliminary meeting of the protocol work to be carried out with İzmir AFAD, attracted great attention from both trainers and kindergarten students. Following the visit of İzmir AFAD officials, AFAM officials visited İzmir Governorship's Disaster and Emergency Directorate on February 25, 2013 and attended the kindergarten disaster training organized by İzmir AFAD. After the training, a meeting was held with the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Manager, Mr. Faruk Üner, about the joint work to be done.
