Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Location and definition of the railway in transportation engineering, Rail system options, Evaluation of urban rail systems, Towed vehicles and the concept of attraction on railways, Slope calculations on railways, Devere and Transition curves, Line capacity, Rails and Railway trusses
Course Content Introduction and basic concepts, History of railways and TCDD, Components that make up the railway line, Rail-Wheel relationship, Towed vehicles and the concept of attraction on railways, Acceleration (Demerage) and Regime phases, Inclines on railways, Devere and Transition curves, Line capacity, Sealed and welded Rails, Railway trusses
