Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To teach the basic concepts of design of steel structure.
Course Content Steel structure systems and their usage, types of steel construction materials, mechanical properties of steel material, structural design approaches and loads acting on structures, elements under tensile loads, elements under pressure loads, structural members under the influence of bending or axial loads and bending moments, bolts, rivest, welds, static and dynamic load calculations, methods for the protection steel structures against corrosion and fire.
