Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To teach the fundamental concepts and theories of soil mechanics.
Course Content Formation of soils and their basic physical properties, soil classification, grain size distribution, consistency limits, classification systems, the effect of groundwater, soil permeability, ground water flow, compaction, total stress, effective stress concepts.
