Social work is an application-based profession and academic discipline that supports the empowerment and liberation of individuals, families, groups, and communities, enhances their coping capacities and promotes social integration through the provision of psycho-social functionality. Social work education is a training process designed using a variety of theories and research patterns based on the principles of social justice, human rights, and respect for differences.
While the theoretical and practical courses are carried out together in our department, students are prepared for research, analysis, and critical thinking; practical courses la application of theoretical knowledge transfer provide vocational skills and behaviors recovery n is max. In addition to a four-year undergraduate program, a master's program is also carried out at the Istanbul Aydın University Social Work Department. Also, our students can have the opportunity of education and internship in different countries within the scope of Erasmus programs. In line with these professional English lessons and supported students with education, literature, and international developments keep abreast of visionary social workers / social work professionals as may begin their careers.
