About:
The aim of this research is to understand the types of social services provided in municipalities within the scope of Istanbul district municipalities and to determine a situation regarding the professional profile of the officials responsible for providing social work in municipalities and their perception and awareness of social work, and to determine a framework for the implementation and perception of social work.
Methods:
The data collection process of the research was carried out in the 2018-2019 academic year within the scope of the 4th grade Social Work Research II course at Istanbul Aydın University. In the first stage of the research, a pilot study was conducted with in-depth interview method in 5 municipalities, and then interviews were completed in 29 municipalities through the structured interview form prepared.
