Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of the Health Management Department is to equip students to have basic marketing knowledge and to evaluate this knowledge according to the specific conditions of the health sector. It is also aimed that the students of the department will learn the functions of the marketing mix elements, the marketing strategies of the enterprises and the contemporary marketing approaches, and come to a level where they can participate in the discussions and make ideas about these issues.
Course Content Marketing, the concept of marketing in health services, the characteristics of health services marketing, its differences from other industries, the history of health services marketing and the factors affecting its development, the reasons for health services marketing. Consumer, customer and patient concepts, Consumer behavior; Market Segmentation and Demand Management in Health Services Market, Classification of Consumers and Basic Factors Affecting Consumer Behavior, Types of Consumer Purchasing Behavior, marketing research in health services.
