Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to analyze the linguistic and discoursive structure of the texts and events in the media in the scope of culturel and ideological perspective.
Course Content	In this course, the discourses of the news text are analyzed and evaluated. It evaulates linguistic and discoursive structure in the scope of ideology.

Learning Outcomes

Knows the pre-production, production and post-production stages of television productions.
Knows the national, international, social and intercultural dimensions of communication science.
Recognize the basic concepts of journalism, news production processes (news gathering, writing and distribution) and developments in new media.
Journalism and television has information about the historical development of the world and Turkey.
Knows the types of television programs.
Knows how to produce content for different broadcast media.
Knows the basic elements of visual and auditory language and narrative, writing television program text, shooting script, presentation and interview techniques.
Defines the studio and non-studio single and multi camera production process.
Knows the basic working principles of audiovisual production tools such as cameras, microphones, sound, light and editing.
Explain the web-based publishing process and the developments in production and sharing technologies.
Explain the ethical principles of television journalism and programming, its legislation, quality and occupational health and safety standards and the legal consequences of professional activities.
Programs and applies the pre-production, production and post-production stages of television productions.
Associates self-regulation and editorial control skills with media contents.
Has the ability to communicate effectively with news sources.
Reveals, interprets and produces solutions to problems in television journalism and programming.
Plans the television content production process, documents and reports the production process.
Makes sound and image editing by using graphic elements in the production of television specific content.
Has the ability to work in at least one unit in the studio and non-studio single and multi-camera production process.
Uses the necessary technologies in the production of television productions.
Uses information technologies, new media and broadcasting technologies effectively.
Has the ability to present news.
It takes active part in the production and production of television news and programs individually or within a group.
Based on the principles of media literacy, it reaches the messages in visual and auditory environments, analyzes them and evaluates them with a critical perspective.
Designs according to legal regulations and ethical rules while creating products in the field of television broadcasting.

Determines the appropriate technical materials according to the television production type.
Analyzes the TV texts according to the type of production.
It produces television news and program formats under time limits by using all elements of the visual and auditory language creation process.
It combines the information about occupational health and safety with its own field.
