The second series of interview "Public Relations and Publicity Students Meet with the Sector"
organized by Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Communication Public Relations and
Publicity Department was held with the participation of Leyla Özdemir, Director of Buyaka
Shopping Center.
In the interview held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 14:00, with the title of "The Power of
Public Relations in Shopping Mall Marketing, Özdemir gave information what is the marketing
of shopping mall is, how the processes of integrated marketing communication are realized in
the promotion of the shopping mall and how the target group of the shopping mall is formed
according to brands. In the interview, what does AVM marketing mean? How is the marketing
strategy of shopping malls formed? How is the Target Group Defined? The examples of crisis
encountered etc. were discussed over the examples. Özdemir said, "There is an integrated
marketing understanding in shopping mall marketing. It is necessary to look at the top level in
order to make marketing."
