Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to teach data collection, processing and transportation of the subjects related to civil and environment health, as well as the development of integrated sensor systems, the improvement of biomedical sensors which can be used in medical devices, how to develop biomedical sensor systems which needs low energy or need no external connection for the follow vital parameters (physiologic signal sense, blood and urine analysis) integrated with early diagnosis systems (home care systems, bedside systems).
Course Content Introduction to sensors and sensor types; Sensor Modeling; Device technologies based biological sensors (DNA-RNA aptamers, enzymes, antibodies, receptors, biomimetic etc.); Chemical sensor technology (liquid electrolyte and gas sensors, pH, O2, CO2, Na, K, Cl etc.); Physical sensor system (temperature, pressure, flow, velocity, viscosity, electrical, magnetic, optical, etc.); Design reviews/evaluations.
