Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To know the classical Arabic literature, to know the genres of the classical period and to be able to read the texts belonging to them. Raising awareness of the poetics of Arabic poetry in the historical period; Internal and external sources of Arabic poetry; Analyzing poetry texts and expressing the evaluation made orally or in writing
Course Content	To deal with the movements, tendencies and crossroads of Arabic poetry with its classical and modern forms, to explain the aforementioned trends based on the texts; raising awareness of the poetics of Arabic poetry in the historical period; Internal and external sources of Arabic poetry; Abilities to analyze poetry texts and to express the evaluation made orally or in writing.

Learning Outcomes

Correlate the concepts of the field of Arabic Language Teaching and the teaching profession.
Recognize the relationship between the language education and the culture.
Identify the methods of production of scientific cognition.
Interpret the relationship between the main concepts in Arabic Language Teaching and the instructional practice.
Clarify the concepts and the processes relating to Arabic language teaching.
Develop skills for identifiying problems.
Appreciate the understanding and the analysis of the concepts and the processes relating to language instruction.
Apply the classroom management skills and technologies to promote positive attitude towards Arabic language learning.
Apply the most appropriate instructional strategies, methods and techniques in the field of Arabic Language Teaching.
Present own oral or written views and suggestions on Arabic language teaching.
Design original activities involving the practical use of Arabic language in daily life.
Arrange individual or team work to solve the problems relating to the profession.
Develop a positive attitude towards acquiring information.
Determine the acquired and further required information on Arabic language teaching.
