​​ISTANBUL AYDIN UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENT AND HUMAN HEALTH APPLICATION AND RESEARCH REGULATION

CHAPTER ONE Purpose, Content, basis and descriptions

Purpose

ARTICLE 1 – (1) The purpose of this regulation is to regulate the procedures and principles regarding its activities, administrative bodies and the duties of the governing bodies.

Concept

ARTICLE 2 – (1) This regulation covers the provisions of the Center's objectives, activities, governing bodies and the duties of the governing bodies.

Basis

ARTICLE 3 – (1) This regulation is prepared on the basis of the 14th article and the 2nd sub clause of the clause (d) of the first sub-article of the 7th article of the higher education law numbered 2547 and dated 4/11/1981.

Descriptions

ARTICLE 4 – (1) The terms used in this Regulation refer to the following descriptions: a) President: Istanbul Aydın University President of the Board of Trustees; b) Advisory committee: The advisory committee of the center; c) center: Istanbul Aydın University environment and human health application and research center; d) President: The president of the Environment and Human Health Application and Research Center of Istanbul Aydın University; e) Rector: The Rector of Istanbul Aydın University; f) Senate: The Senate of Istanbul Aydın University; g) University: Istanbul Aydın University; h) Board of Management: The Board Management of Istanbul Aydın University Environment and Human Health Application and Research Center.

CHAPTER TWO

The purpose of the center, field of study, activities, ARTICLE 5 (1) The purpose of the center: To examine advanced and current developments in science and technology about environment and human health, to conduct scientific research within the framework of international scientific cooperation, to conduct scientific research within the framework of international scientific cooperation, to increase the efficiency and quality of research, to cooperate with domestic and international application and research centers operating in related fields and to contribute to the development of graduate programs in related fields.

ARTICLE 6 (1) the study field and activities of the center are as follows:

  1. To examine the all factors affecting and forming the environment, to determine the environmental conditions and pollutants, urban conservation and renovation, waste assessment, investigation of various water resources and quality, air, water and soil measurement and evaluation analysis, improvement process studies, effects of these areas on human health. b) To plan and organize joint studies on the subjects of interest of the Center; to organize conferences, workshops, seminars, summer / winter schools and scientific meetings. c) Application and research studies at the end of the scientific publication on the subject. d) To determine subjects of study and appropriate researchers in related areas, to prepare and carry out projects on these issues.

ARTICLE 7 – (1) The center consists of the following organs: a) director, b) board of management, c) advisory committee.

ARTICLE 8 – (1) The Director is appointed for two years with the approval of the President and the proposal of the Rector from among the lecturers of the university or among the experts from outside the university. The manager may be dismissed by the procedure he / she has been appointed. (2) The Director appoints a person to assist him/her in the work of the Center as Deputy Director with the approval of the Rector. When the director is not present, his/her assistant becomes the proxy and the Rectorate is informed in writing. If the proxy lasts more than six months, a new Director is appointed. The duty of the assistant is deemed to have ended when the duty of the director ends. (3) The Director is responsible to the Rector for the proper and regular conduct and development of the activities of the Center. ARTICLE 9 – (1) The tasks of the director are: a) to represent the center, b) to chair the board of management and the advisory board, c) To organize research projects and submit them to the Rector's approval. d) To submit any project and consultancy services to the approval of the Rector and the Board of Trustees for review and put into practice after approval. e) To determine the principles on how the full-time University staff will benefit from the income from the projects or consultancy services in accordance with the decisions of the Senate and the relevant legislation.

e) The Center prepares the annual activity plan and program and forecast budget for the special budget period each year and submits it to the Board of Directors and the form adopted by the Board is submitted for the approval of the Rector. ARTICLE 10 – (1) The board of management; It is selected from among the Director, Assistant Director and academic staff of the University or from outside the University. It consists of seven people, five of whom will be appointed by the Rector. The term of office of the members of the Board of Directors is two years. The member whose term of office has ended can be reassigned. (2) The Board of Directors convenes at least four times a year upon the invitation of the Director and discusses and finalizes the agenda items prepared by the Director. ARTICLE 11 – (1) The tasks of the board of board of management: a) To determine the annual activity plan and program and forecast budget of the Center for the special budget period prepared by the Director. b) To decide on the proposals made by the Manager when significant changes in activities, plans, programs and budget are required during the year. c) To evaluate the developments related to the activities of the Center during the year and to make suggestions to increase the efficiency level. d) To establish scientific committees, working groups and units within the Center, to determine their working procedures and to make decisions about the necessary coordination between them. e) To decide the year-end activity report of the Center for the special budget period prepared by the Director. f) To determine the principles and procedures of expenditure of donations in cases where there is a conditional donation agreement in accordance with the conditions in Article 14. ARTICLE 12 – (1) The members of the advisory board; It is selected among the academic staff of the university or other universities, upon request, from local / foreign experts working in public and private sector institutions and organizations operating in the subjects related to the Center. S/he is elected and / or appointed for two years upon the proposal of the Director and the approval of the President. The Advisory Board consists of fifteen members. The member whose term of office has expired may be re-elected and / or appointed. (2) Advisory Board; it meets normally once a year and, when necessary, upon the call of the Director.
