The Audiology Department has a growing capacity day by day. Since it is a new branch of science, developments are much faster than other branches, adding new fields and applications to our department. Audiology, which takes its place in universities only as a hearing science; It is growing at a dizzying pace, including hearing rehabilitation, vestibular system applications, language-speech disorders and otology.

Technological devices developed in each field and digital scientific transformation were also reflected in audiology. For example, virtual reality device has revolutionized the vestibular system applications. We have had the opportunity to treat many diseases that we cannot cure. While the science of audiology was previously a supportive science in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery, it has now become a team member with an active role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Of course, it is not a professional group that receives diagnosis and treatment authority. However, it has become an indispensable member of the established commissions both in cochlear implant applications and in the diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disease. This situation further increases the responsibility and professional burden on audiologists. As Istanbul Aydın University Audiology Department, we have determined an education and training policy that conveys all developments to our students with this sense of responsibility.

Our department, which has reached the level of modern science, has set the goal of serving humanity with new scientific discoveries by closely following the developments.
