Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To know medical imaging methods, to teach principles of image acquisition.
Course Content	This course includes theoretical information about medical imaging techniques.

Learning Outcomes

Basic level knowledge about the field of medicine in which one would serve as indermediate level personnel, and the qualification to practice such knowledge.
Proficiency in the medical terminology in radiation oncology.
Competence in the access to information and technology and the use of these in radiation oncology.
Qualification in working as a team oncologist and medical physicist.
Competence in establishing effective communication with radiation oncologist and medical phisicist, as wellas patiens, colleagues and other segments of the society.
Competence in familiarity with devices used in radiation onkology and the ability to follow the technological developments concerning such equipment.
Competence in taking medical history, preparing files etc. in radiation oncology.
Competence in computer skills.
Hospitals application is made.
Technical excursions are organized.
Acquiring the habit of following developments concerning the profession.
Qualification in obtaining the conception of life-long learning and self-improvement.
Competence in adopting and applying ethical principles and professional values.
Competence in realizing team effort.
Proficiency in shouldering professional responsibility.

1	Health concept, general health services, health insurance systems, general structure, departments and working systems of hospitals
2	The place and importance of medical imaging in the health system, general structure of imaging departments, imaging methods
3	Duties and responsabilities of technician, patient rights, employees' rights
4	Use areas of x-ray and radiography acquisition
5	Imaging in the modern roentgen systems (CR/DR) and panaromic graphy (dental)
6	Mammography and bone mineral dansitometry (DEXA/CT/Co60)
7	Midterm exam
8	Examination with contrast matter and angiography / DSA
9	Computerized tomography
10	Nuclear medicine: Radioactivity and gamma-cameras
11	Magnetic resonance imaging I
12	Magnetic resonance imaging II
13	Magnetic resonance imaging III
14	Principles of imaging acquisition in US
