Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To know medical imaging methods, to teach principles of image acquisition.
Course Content This course includes theoretical information about medical imaging techniques.

1Health concept, general health services, health insurance systems, general structure, departments and working systems of hospitals
2The place and importance of medical imaging in the health system, general structure of imaging departments, imaging methods
3Duties and responsabilities of technician, patient rights, employees' rights
4Use areas of x-ray and radiography acquisition
5Imaging in the modern roentgen systems (CR/DR) and panaromic graphy (dental)
6Mammography and bone mineral dansitometry (DEXA/CT/Co60)
7Midterm exam
8Examination with contrast matter and angiography / DSA
9Computerized tomography
10Nuclear medicine: Radioactivity and gamma-cameras
11Magnetic resonance imaging I
12Magnetic resonance imaging II
