Purpose and Content
The aim of the course
Epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, patient general status, general principles of treatment and prognosis of neoplastic disease will be presented and histology, anatomical site will be examined in relation to the spread pattern.
Course Content
Epidemiology, etiology, the general principles of treatment systems, spread patterns.
Learning Outcomes
Basic level knowledge about the field of medicine in which one would serve as indermediate level personnel, and the qualification to practice such knowledge.
Proficiency in the medical terminology in radiation oncology.
Competence in the access to information and technology and the use of these in radiation oncology.
Qualification in working as a team oncologist and medical physicist.
Competence in establishing effective communication with radiation oncologist and medical phisicist, as wellas patiens, colleagues and other segments of the society.
Competence in familiarity with devices used in radiation onkology and the ability to follow the technological developments concerning such equipment.
Competence in taking medical history, preparing files etc. in radiation oncology.
Competence in computer skills.
Hospitals application is made.
Technical excursions are organized.
Acquiring the habit of following developments concerning the profession.
Qualification in obtaining the conception of life-long learning and self-improvement.
Competence in adopting and applying ethical principles and professional values.
Competence in realizing team effort.
