Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	Aim of the course is to examine developments of cinema chronologically, its place, impact and importance in public life.
Course Content	In this course, development phases and proliferation of cinema in different countries from its invention to present; its development as mass medium, as an industry and an art will be held with movements and school creators in social- cultural context of the era.

Learning Outcomes

Knows the processes of shooting, production and post-production in the field of radio, television and cinema.
Knows the working principles of production tools such as camera, microphone, sound, light which are necessary for shooting in radio, television and cinema field.
Has the knowledge about the necessary systems and programs in the production of content suitable for the environments in which the publication is performed.
Knows the operation processes in radio, television and cinema productions that require single or multiple cameras.
Has knowledge about radio and television program types.
Knows the internet technologies used in radio and television broadcasts.
Has information about the production of the studio broadcasting, external live broadcast links and live broadcast transmission programs.
Has knowledge about cinematographic language.
Have knowledge about the stages of development from the beginning of cinema and different approaches to cinema and cinema genres.
Students will be able to express their thoughts in writing in accordance with the script language and prepare a shooting scenario.

8	Social Liberarian Movements in1960s and cinema’s reaction to them: Atıf Yılmaz Batıbeki films.
9	Midterm-Science fiction and horror films in 1960-70s.
10	Political trend in Turkish Cinema, Yılmaz Güney films.
11	European Cinema from 80s to present.

14	Discussion: Comparison of European and American cinema with present Turkish cinema.
