Language of the department is 100% English. After successfully completing 1 year of preparatory education, students will start their 4 years undergraduate education in Pilotage Department. Students who skip the preparatory class will directly start with the department classes. Academic courses and Theoretical Ground Courses required by international standards for the Pilotage department will be carried out at our university. Flight Trainings will be carried out by our business partner "True Course Flight Academy" Authorized Flight School by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). Graduating students will have Bachelor's Degree from Department of Pilotage, and Airline Commercial Pilot Licence (ATPL-A) approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM).

For registration, our candidates must meet the Becoming a Pilot Conditions of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). Thus, before registration our Pilot candidate students must obtain a I.Class Health Certificate from SHGM Authorized Hospitals. With this certificate, it is approved that there are no health barriers to becoming a Pilot and that the health status in international standards is within the limits for the pilot profession.

Also, in accordance with the current "Aircraft Pilot License Regulation (SHY-1)" of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), our Pilot candidate students must meet the general conditions in applications. Before registration, student's judicial record must be as specified in this regulation.

In Istanbul Aydın University Pilotage Department, it will be ensured that all our students will have received all theoretical and practical trainings, have an analytical mindset, be skillful, able to think and decide quickly, and have knowledge of English language at Level 6 which are required for performing the pilot profession at national and international levels.

As our students of Pilotage department will receive a very high quality English education at Level 6 and aviation language is English, they will take advantage of all business opportunities in both national and international air taxi, business jet, air ambulance aircraft, cargo aircraft, flight schools and airlines.
