Mission

The fundamental goal of our program is to educate qualified teachers and researchers who can effectively participate in the education and instruction of the Turkish language in light of contemporary methods and perspectives developed in Turkish Language Education.

Language is culture. The aim is for teacher candidates to be equipped with the fundamental elements of our culture and to integrate with these values. It is essential that teacher candidates are nurtured as the bearers, conveyors, and developers of this culture.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the department can work as Turkish language teachers in schools under the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey and private educational institutions. In addition, our graduates can work in press and media organizations, domestic and international educational and cultural institutions, archive museums, Turkology centers, and private and official institutions related to the Turkish Republics. They can also work as academicians in relevant departments of universities.
