Turkish Language Teaching

The Turkish Language Teaching Program is a four-year (eight semesters) undergraduate teacher education program. The language of instruction is Turkish. The program is offered within the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Aydın University and is administered under the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education. The program is structured in accordance with the teacher qualification standards of the Ministry of National Education, the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF), and the university’s educational policies. Academic and administrative processes are carried out in coordination with the Faculty of Education and relevant university units

  Message from the Head of the Program

In line with current and emerging approaches, methods, and perspectives in Turkish language education, our program aims to cultivate qualified teachers and researchers who are proficient in their field, possess advanced knowledge and skills, and can effectively contribute to the teaching and learning processes of the Turkish language. 

The Turkish Language Teaching Program aims to nurture students who internalize the fundamental principles and tenets of contemporary education, possess scientific and critical thinking skills, closely follow technological developments, and can reflect these developments in educational processes. Within the scope of the program, the goal is to prepare students for their professional lives as teachers who can effectively use advanced knowledge resources related to their field, serve as role models for society with their professional attitudes and behaviors, and possess a high sense of responsibility and competence.
