Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to define the effect of the user and the senses in design, and to define the formation of the perception process; to gain the experience of understanding and noticing the elements and dimensions of the mental relationship established with space and spatial environments. It can be said that the semantic approach can be useful in examining and analyzing design decisions. In addition, it is thought that it will be beneficial to increase and diversify the concepts regarding architectural design elements that seem possible to be accepted as indicators in the architectural design process and to raise the conceptual level.
Course Content The relationship between design and the user, the effect of the senses in design, the relationship between perception and architecture, the explanation of the semantic differential to determine the spatial impact approach and the housing with the semantic differential to determine the spatial impact approach, making inspections on shops and cafes-restaurants.
