Purpose and Content

The aim of the course In the first semester of this course, which will last two semesters, it is aimed to discuss the importance of theories in the formation of architectural form by discussing the approaches that form Architectural Theories from Ancient to 20th Century at the most basic level and to create the theoretical infrastructure of Interior Architecture History and Theory I, II, III and IV courses.
Course Content The course begins with the explanation of general concepts and theories, and primarily focuses on the ancient period. Then, early Christianity in the Middle Ages, the Humanism movement, and academic and enlightenment movements in France are discussed, respectively. At the end of the period, theories examined from Antiquity to the beginning of the 20th century are interpreted.
