Purpose and Content

The aim of the course It is the transfer of basic drawing techniques that enable the expression of three-dimensional objects and spaces on a two-dimensional plane, as well as digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling techniques, standards and methods in the computer environment.
Course Content Expression of two-dimensional geometric forms, three-dimensional objects and spaces with basic drawing techniques. Making digital drawings (plan, section, view) of the designated spaces using architectural standards and layers. Application of three-dimensional modeling techniques in the computer environment based on the use of layers and grouping of components.

Weekly Course Subjects

1General description of the course, explanation of purpose, scope and method.
2Concepts of plan, section, view. Measurement and scale information. Introducing the AutoCAD software interface, basic settings and explaining the draw and modify menu components. Drawing applications.
3Transfer of digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling logic in accordance with US National CAD Standards and construction sequence. Drawing a 1/50 scale plan of the sample housing project. Determining the paper size with "A-ANNO-SHEET-CUT" and then "A-ANNO-SHEET", preparing the letterhead backing. Creating a 30x30 grid system with an auxiliary layer. Determining the carrier axes with A-AXIS and the building area with A-AREA. SUBMISSION OF PREPARATION WORKS - (Preliminary Research) PRESENTATION AND OPEN CRITICISM MEETING (4.a)
4Drawing a 1/50 scale plan of the sample housing project. Addition of carriers with "S-COLS" and "S-COLS-HATC". Addition of external walls with "S-WALL" or "A-WALL-FULL-EXTR" and "A-WALL-PATT". Adding interior walls with "A-WALL-FULL-INTR". Adding doors and windows, transferring block logic. Giving model homework.
5Adding internal and external plasters with "A-FNSH" and "I-FINSH". After cutting the models and experiencing the section and appearance, drawing a 1/50 scale A-A section of the sample housing project. Giving section B-B as homework.
6B-B section homework check. Drawing of 1/50 scale views of the sample housing project.
7AutoCAD application homework. Introducing the SketchUp software interface, making basic settings, using the menus and importing the AutoCAD file. MIDTERM SUBMISSION BEFORE THE MIDTERM EXAM PERIOD, 1ST MID SUBMISSION- PRESENTATION AND OPEN CRITICISM MEETING (4.b and 4.h) SKETCH WORK BEFORE THE MIDTERM EXAM PERIOD, 1ST SKETCH (4.c)
8MIDTERM EXAM WEEK
9Modeling the carrier system, outer shell and horizontal and vertical partitions with layer and component logic in SketchUp environment, with reference to the plan, section and view of the sample housing project.
10Modeling the vertical connections and reinforcements of the sample housing project using layer and solid tools logic in the SketchUp environment. Detail work.
11Obtaining static visual materials (STORYBOARD) from the sample housing project, the digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling of which have been completed, and creating sheets to certain standards.
12Obtaining moving visual materials from the three-dimensional model of the sample housing project (ANIMATION).
13INTERMEDIATE SUBMISSION BEFORE THE FINAL EXAM PERIOD, 2ND INTERMEDIATE SUBMISSION- PRESENTATION and OPEN CRITICISM MEETING (4.d and 4.h) SKETCH WORK BEFORE THE FINAL EXAM PERIOD, 1ST SKETCH (4.e)
14SketchUp application assignment. Examining sheet samples and creating presentation sheets. FINAL EXAM PERIOD SUBMISSION, FINAL SUBMISSION (4.f)
