Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Transfer of interior architectural project expression techniques (in the context of basic building components and space and circulation relations), digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling techniques, standards and methods; gaining the ability to use spatial analysis techniques, image processing and current presentation methods. It is aimed to gain knowledge of the techniques, standards and methods of interior architectural project expression techniques in the context of usage areas and circulation relations, including three-dimensional modeling, motion and animation. Gains the ability to use spatial analysis techniques, image processing and current presentation methods. Master presentation techniques with SketchUp Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Vray Render Engine tools.
Course Content Analyzing the project-based model with SketchUp Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Vray Render Engine tools. Working on the sub-headings of each tool and the establishment of their relationships with each other.

Weekly Course Subjects

1INTRODUCING THE COURSE AND INFORMING ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE COURSE. TRANSFERRING THE NECESSARY INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT TO BE STUDIED AND GIVING GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ARCHITECTURAL PROGRAMS.
2DETERMINATION AND EVALUATION OF THE AREA AND DESIGN CRITERIA OF THE PROJECT TO BE WORKED ON SKETCHUP PRO: GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE OF THE PLUGIN.
3DELIVERY OF PREPARATORY WORKS: RECEIVING AND EVALUATING THE SITE PLAN, FLOOR PLANS AND 3D MODEL OF THE PROJECT IN LINE WITH THE AREA AND DESIGN CRITERIA.
4SKETCHUP PRO: PLUGIN USAGE, MATERIAL ASSIGNMENT, CREATION, TRANSFORMATION AND DETAILING. APPLICATION ON THE STUDIED PROJECT.
5SKETCHUP PRO: CONTINUE TO USE PLUGIN TYPES, MATERIAL ASSIGNMENT, CREATION, TRANSFORMATION AND DETAILING, SHADOW AND STAGING WITH SHADOW-SCENES TOOLS. APPLICATION ON THE PROJECT STUDIED.
6SKETCHUP PRO: CREATION OF VIVEWPOINTS WITH ANIMATION WORK. INTRODUCTION OF VRAY RENDER ENGINE. APPLICATION ON THE PROJECT BEING WORKED ON.
7DRAWING BEFORE THE MIDTERM EXAM: CREATION OF THE DRAWING GIVEN IN THE IN-CLASS APPLICATION AND SUBMISSION OF THE PRINTOUT. INTERMEDIATE DELIVERY BEFORE MIDTERM EXAM
8VRAY RENDER: ESTABLISHING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIGHT AND MATERIAL AND RENDERING FROM VIEWPOINTS DETERMINED FROM THE EXTERIOR FACADE ON THE PROJECT BEING WORKED ON.
9Explaining the concepts of "Cognative Mapping" and "Approach Route to Main Space" Explanation of the principles and methods of taking images from space (location of the image, framing, perspective) Transferring the principles of rendering and animation editing and route determination in projects Rendering and animation editing on three-dimensional model through the concepts and methods conveyed. Midterm Exam
10Introduction of the software to be used in the rendering phase; explanation of menus, tools and methods. Basic rendering knowledge: Scene, light and material settings in rendering applications. Transfer of basic information about rendering techniques (resolution, light, color, material, texture) Sample rendering applications with different parameters and comparing the results Preparation of the scene to take still images (storyboard) in the context of the concepts of "main entrance", "main space", "approach route to main space" (with rendering techniques) from the project whose digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling is finished VRAY RENDER: DEMONSTRATION OF FINAL RENDER SETTINGS AND RENDERING OF EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR SPACES ON THE PROJECT WORKED ON
11Review of the topics of the tenth week Taking static (storyboard) and moving (animation) images (with rendering techniques) in the context of the concepts of "main entrance", "main space", "approach route to main space" from the project whose digital drawing and three-dimensional modeling are completed.
12Basic information about image processing techniques: Light and color information, color mode, color depth, resolution information Photoshop interface, file formats, layer system and editing tools Creating a "storyboard" sheet in Photoshop environment in certain standards.
13Review of the twelfth week topics Examination of national and international examples of presentation techniques and layout design. Creating freestyle conceptual layouts in Photoshop environment
14Preparing an alternative presentation sheet in Photoshop using drawings, models and images Control of previously created layouts in Photoshop environment DRAWING PRACTICE BEFORE THE FINAL EXAM: CREATING THE DRAWING GIVEN IN THE IN-CLASS APPLICATION AND SUBMITTING THE PRINTOUT. INTERMEDIATE SUBMISSION BEFORE FINAL EXAM
